Gavalas Katsano, 2015, 13% ABV, PDO Santorini
From 85% Katsano and 15% Gaidouria, rare indigenous varieties of Santorini and close relatives to the local star grape Assyrtiko. The total occurrence of the varieties in the island's vineyard is approximately 1%. A wine with immense character and remarkable mouth impression. Bight yellow colour, rich aromas of citrus fruit and pineapple and equally fruity and powerful palate. It has a distinctive, well integrated acidity and a long finish. An ideal accompaniment to seafood, white meat and cheese.
